Academic Sessions and Vice Chancellor’s Awards- 2025 was successfully held under the theme of “Innovating Across Boundaries: Bridging Knowledge for Global Impact” on 4th June 2025 at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Ruhuna. Senior Professor P.A. Jayantha, the Chief guest and vice Chancellor of University of Ruhuna and Senior Professor Rangika Halwatura, Keynote speaker, Faculty of Engineering, University of Moratuwa graced the occasion. Their presence is a testament to the importance of this event and to the collaborative spirit that drives meaningful dialogue and innovation. Senior Professor Disna Ratnasekera was awarded as the Most Outstanding Scholar while Dr. Dushan Kumarathunga was awarded as the Most Outstanding Young Researcher of the University. UOR Tier 4* was awarded to Professor Subashi De Silva. Three Emeritus Professors, PLAG Alwis, Mangala De Soyza and Sarath Lekamwasam added extra value to the event. The organizing committee was chaired by Professor Menaka Fernando and secretory of the committee was Dr. Chathura Perera.
