Fourth Consortium Meeting
Fourth Consortium Meeting of the BRITAE project was held on 19th of March 2021 as a virtual event, with the participation of all the members of each partner university. The basic objective of the meeting was to discuss about the progress of the work packages and the way forward.  

Orientation programme for lecturers to strengthen the course structure
Two orientation programs were organized collaboratively with Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, Lithuania on 8th of April and 13th of May 2021 to build appropriate e-education infrastructure in partner countries. Virtual training courses were organized to academic staff members of Sri Lankan universities to practice and apply the intelligent tutoring systems to the university education system in Sri Lanka.  

Professional development workshops for academic staff and stakeholders (Industries) in Resilience Building in Tropical Agroecosystem
The inaugural session of the series of workshops for professionals was held successfully on 14th May 2021, with the valuable participation of academics and stakeholders. This workshop was organized as a virtual/online event due to the prevailing COVID 19 pandemic situation in the country. Developing different interpersonal, intrapersonal and institutional skills, skills to effectively acquire and manage research grants, combine top-down national priorities with bottom-up peer review, solicitation and communication skills were among the prime objectives of conducting this workshop.

Establishment of SAR Centre
BRITAE project intends to establish a “Smart Agro-ecosystem Resilience” (SAR) Centre, to enable the delivery of the BRITAE curricular and to provide teaching materials, learning materials, evaluation procedures, assignments and other required materials for complete the courses. Floor plan for the establishment of SAR centre has been already prepared, equipment for the SAR centre have also been finalized and the purchasing process is on progress. Discussions are being carried out with Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, Lithuania about development of Adaptive Biometric Examination System and Adaptive Examination System, Affective Tutoring System and Adaptive MOOCs and personalized learning system with moodle for SAR centre.
